自GE完成对国际两家金属增材制造巨头Concept Laser和ARCAM的收购之后，GE航空在增材制造领域的开发速度可谓是一日千里，原GE航空的增材制造业务负责人，也是GE增材制造燃油喷嘴的项目负责人的Greg Morris表示5到10年间将完成飞机引擎的大型部件打印，而在德国formnext展会上，新成立的GE Addtive推出了成型尺寸为1m*1m的大型金属打印原型机。国内最早可能见到这款设备需要等到3月1日-3日在上海新国际博览中心举办的亚洲3D打印、增材制造展览会(TCT亚洲展)上。据悉， TCT亚洲展上，除GE外，国际金属增材制造厂商—德国EOS、英国Renishaw、德国SLM Solutions、德国通快、法国AddUP、及荷兰Additive Industries都将悉数到场。
