2018年1月22日，统计局公布了国内2017年全年工业机器人产量，2017年工业机器人累计生产超过13万套，累计增长68.1%，其中12月份产量为12682套，单月同比增长56.5%。

  2018年至2020年，将是中国工业机器人产业发展最重要的3年，最后3年的发展将直接关系到《机器人产业发展规划(2016-2020年)》目标的达成。 随着国内、国际品牌纷纷扩产，新开工工厂将在2018年、2019年实现量产，OFweek行业研究中心认为，未来3年，国内工业机器人产量在目前基础上还会翻番，到2020年国内工业机器人产量或将超过25万台。
